In Malaysia,  there is another fruit which i say say ‘uncommon’ is the ‘Cempedak’ or Jack Fruit. Cempedak is much smaller then the native Jack Fruit – but the texture of the  flesh is soft, sweet, and has a strong aroma.

Some of us may call it as an exotic fruit called Cempedak in Malaysia, can be eaten fresh; but, they tastes much better in fritters or Cucur Cempedak. The delicacy is commonly sold in the streets of Malaysia but today we are going to make it. Remember to try this delicacy when you come to Malaysia and i bet that, you’ll be missing it once you are back to your home country. 🙂

Steps

1
Done

Extract the fruit. Wear a disposable glove and coated your knive with oil - as it is needed to cut the huge fruit and get the flesh or Jacks

2
Done

Put aside the fruit. Now prepare the batter by combining all the ingredients and mix well.

3
Done

Pour enough oil into a saucepan or in a deep fryer on medium to high heat. Leave the oil - as it is ready to deep fry.

4
Done

Dip the chempedak flesh into the batter. Ensure it is coated well.

5
Done

Dip the batter and fry until golden brown in color, about 8 to 10 minutes.

6
Done

Remove the Cempedak fritters with a slotted spoon and drain on papers and serve warm or at room temperature.
